Kimberly and Megan meet Captain Charles Moore
Kimberly and Megan were given the chance to meet Captain Charles Moore, the person credited with discovering the garbage patches. At the Living Coast Discovery Center, Captain Moore gave a fascinating talk about the effects of plastic on our planet. Did you know that plastic can contribute to global warming by coating the bottom of the ocean, which absorbs most of the CO2 in the world?
